Aug 02, 2019 If you’re uncertain whether you’ll need it, you might want to keep it and delete something else. After all, why pay to re-install an awesome app you got for free? Do you have GarageBand on your Mac? Are you using it or are you planning to get rid of it? In case you already canned GarageBand, which method did you use?

While many would argue that the only way to accurately capture an electric guitar performance is by mic’ing up your amplifier and hitting record, in my latest video I share 3 ways that you can directly input your guitar into your Mac so that you can record it in GarageBand.

Directly inputting (or ‘DI-ing’) your instrument in this way gives you more control over how your recording sounds if you choose to use Garageband’s built in amp designer and/or Audio Unit plug ins.

• Alternatively, you can follow these steps to install GarageBand on Mac 1. Open the Launchpad and then look for App Store in it. Once you found the App Store, open it. Now, on the App Store, look for GarageBand. GarageBand would be the first app you will see.
• To remove GarageBand and free up roughly 700MB of space (as seen in our testing, but it may differ on your machine) you should do the following: Launch CleanMyMac (or any other Mac optimization app). Click on the Uninstaller utility. Select GarageBand from the listed apps. This will automatically select binaries, preferences and supporting files.
