WineConf Call for Hosts
This is a call for proposals to host the next WineConf sometime this year. Ideally proposals would present;
- Proposed dates
- Proposed city
- Information on potential venues and travel
- Buy Microsoft Office 2007 at a discounted price from eCostSoftware. Install Wine: WINE (Wine Is Not an Emulator) is an application layer for Linux that interprets the Windows API and DLLs into native Linux commands. This allows for programs made for Windows to be run in Linux! In order to run Office 2007, Wine 1.1.9 (or newer) is required.
- Hey, I have just upgraded to CrossOver Mac Pro. I have tried installing Office 2007 multiple times. I am installing from a directory. I do not have access to the original CD as this is an install from my university's software folder (site license).
We'll need to choose a host relatively quickly as it does take time to plan and book the event. I'm hoping we can settle on a host by the end of February but ultimately that decision goes to the Wine Committee. Questions, comments, concerns can be posted on the WineConf mailing list. - A few more modules converted to PE.
- Improvements to gdb proxy mode.
- Various bug fixes.
